WORCESTER-John F. Burke died Thursday, March 17 at Notre Dame du Lac. His wife of 62 years, Dorothy G. (Fitzgibbons) Burke predeceased him in 2003. He leaves two daughters, Carol Anne Doyle of Millbury and Kathleen M. Burke of Worcester and four grandchildren. A son, John F. Burke, Jr. predeceased him in 1992.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Patrick J. and Catherine (Corbett) Burke. John worked for International Harvester for 32 years retiring in 1977. He was a longtime member of Blessed Sacrament Church.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Notre Dame du Lac for the wonderful care given to dad during his stay there.
Visiting hours are Monday, March 21 from 3-5 PM at CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 22 at 10 AM in Notre Dame du Lac.
