Louis “LuLu” Marino, of Boston’s North End died Thursday at Massachusetts General Hospital. He was 86.
Mr. Marino was a life-long North Ender, the son of the late Charles and Brigida Marino. As a boy he joined his father and brother as a fisherman, leaving daily from Boston’s waterfront. He worked as a fisherman for most of his life. He was devoted to his family and had great affection for his niece and nephews. He was a lifetime member of the Madonna Del Soccorso Society and was a devoted participant in the annual Fisherman’s Feast.
He leaves his devoted sister Anna Guarino of Medford and his loving niece and nephew Anna Salamanca and Joe Guarino as well as his dear great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Edward Marino and his nephew Charles Guarino.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family in Sacred Heart Church, 12 North Sq., Boston, Monday March 21st from 9 to 11 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at St. Michael Cemetery, Roslindale.
