William M. Perkins, III, 62, of 9 West View St., died Tuesday, March 15 at Rose Monahan Hospice House in Worcester.
He leaves his wife of 43 years, Patricia M. (Goodney) Perkins, a son, William M. Perkins, IV and his wife Jody of Webster, a daughter, Tami L. Sylvester and her husband Craig of Worcester, his adopted son, David Carl of Sterling, his mother, Carolyn G. (Lassiter) Perkins of Sutton, a brother, Richard Perkins of Newark, Delaware, two sisters; Carol Gagner and her husband Michael of Sutton, Sandra Sorenson and her husband Jeffrey of Auburn, NY, 10 grandchildren; Benjamin, Delaney, Payton, Billy, Sean, Gage, Jared, Cheyenne, Dakota, and Rebecca, several nieces and nephews.
Born in Long Beach, CA, he was the son of William M. Perkins, Jr.
Mr. Perkins was a graduate of Auburn High School and Becker Junior College in Worcester. He served two tours of duty with the US Army during the Vietnam War.
He was a transportation manager for the past 26 years at The T.J.X. Company in Worcester.
He enjoyed sailing on his boat, “Natani” on Narragansett Bay and playing golf. He loved his Bernese Mountain dogs, “Gracie” and “Otis”.
The family would like to send a special Thank you to William’s T.J.X. family for their patience, understanding and support during the past three and half years of his illness.
A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, March 19 at 10 A.M. in St. Ann’s Church, 654 Main St., North Oxford, friends are invited to go directly to the church. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Friday from 4-7 P.M. in the MORRISON-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St. Leicester.
