Harold Kent “Kenny” Harris, Sr., 54, of Ty Ty died Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., March 19, 2011, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. W. E. Fogarty and Rev. Terrell Roberts will officiate with burial to follow in Tift Memorial Gardens. Aaron Wildes, Jack Drawdy, Steve Farmer, Jed Drawdy, Jackie Drawdy and Shane McBrayer will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 18, 2011, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Harris was born on May 15, 1956 in Sylvester and was the son of Mildred Mae Harris, deceased. He was a truck driver and a mechanic and a member of Unity Baptist Church in Tifton.
Mr. Harris is survived by his wife, Dorothy Irene Milliones Harris of Ty Ty; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth James and Tasha Harris, Harold Kent Jr. and Beth Harris, all of Ty Ty; David Logdson, who was just like a son, and his wife, P. J. Logdson, both of Ty Ty; one daughter and son-in-law, Melinda Irene and Nick Loper of Ty Ty; two brothers, Samuel Eugene Powell of Port St. Joe, Florida and Randy Powell of Elberton; eight grandchildren, Ashley Howard, Tiffany Howard, Jonathon Howard, Sierra Howard, Angel Harris, Shelby Harris, Anna Harris and Carey Ava Harris; and aunts and uncles, Polly and Ed Brown and James and Mavis Suggs.
