Millbury- Eleanor M. “Ellie” (Anusauskas) Walinsky, 62, of 13 Dolan Rd., died Tuesday, Jan. 13, at home, surrounded by her family, after a long illness.She leaves her husband of 37 years, Stephen V. Walinsky Jr.; a son, Mark S. Walinsky and his wife, Kathleen of Avon, Colorado; a daughter, Lynne M. Jalbert and her husband, Michael of Oxford; her mother, Mary E. (Pigoga) Anusauskas; a brother, George A. Anusauskas of Worcester; three grandchildren, Alyssa, Andrew, and Rebecca Jalbert, all of Oxford; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Stephen and Anna (Zaparaskas) Walinsky of Worcester; and several nieces and nephews. Her father, Alexander Anusauskas, predeceased her.
She graduated from Notre Dame Academy and Salter Secretarial School. She began work at the offices of Paul Revere Life Insurance, later moving to the insurance consulting firm of W.B. Pollock, Jr. After a hiatus from work to raise her family, she became an administrative assistant at Nordli Wilson Associates, where she worked for 12 years.
Mrs. Walinsky was a longtime member of St. Casimir Parish, Worcester, and its former Mothers Guild, the Knights of Lithuania-Council 26, where she was a 4th degree Knight, the Lithuanian American Drum Corp Color Guard, and she was a Campfire leader.
She enjoyed traveling, skiing, and cooking, being happiest with her work in the kitchen.
The funeral will be held Friday, Jan. 16, from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., Worcester, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Casimir Church, 41 Providence St., Worcester. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, in the funeral home. The Knights of Lithuania, Council 26, will meet at 6:30 p.m. to conduct a ritual.
