FRAMINGHAM: Linda Louise (Bracken) Corliss, 64, died at her home in Framingham on Saturday, March 12, 2011 with her family at her side.
She was born in Newton on November 4, 1946 the daughter of the late James P. Bracken, Sr. and Margaret A. (Wheeler) Bracken.
Linda is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, Peter H. Corliss of Framingham. She was the beloved mother of Cindy Corliss of Scotland, United Kingdom and Jennifer Shea of Framingham. Loving grandmother of Stephanie and Kathleen Shea of Framingham. She was the sister of James Bracken, Jr. of Andover; William Bracken of Newton and John Bracken of Wareham. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Geraldine (Bracken) Lee and Judith (Bracken) Powell.
Linda has been a resident of Framingham for over 40 years and previously resided in Wayland. She spent her younger years in Newton and was a graduate of Newton North High School with the Class of 1964. She was an active member of the Strikettes bowling league of Shrewsbury, formerly of Framingham. She was a service clerk for Star Market and Shaw’s Supermarkets for over 26 years up until her death. She enjoyed watching movies and spending time with her family especially her beloved grandchildren. Linda was an avid baseball fan and loved going to the Red Sox games with her daughters.
Visitations will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road, (off Route 30), Wayland.
Her funeral services will be at the funeral home on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 10:00 am.
Interment will follow in the Corliss family lot in Edgell Grove Cemetery in Framingham.
