Carol H. Gallagher, 74 of Medford, died Friday after a long illness in the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers, MA.
Born in Somerville, she lived all her life in Medford and was the daughter of the late Anna (DePetris) and Angelo Marruzzi. Carol worked in the Admissions Office in the Under Graduate Division at Tufts University for 12 years and retired in 2001. She was a member and past President of the St. Francis Women’s Society and a member of the Red Hats.
Beloved wife of Donald Gallagher Sr. Devoted mother of Donald Gallagher Jr. and his wife Nancy of Hopkinton, Heather DiPlacido and her husband Michael of Stoneham. Loving nana to Sarah and Karen Gallagher, Michael, Marissa and Jennifer DiPlacido. Sister of Vincent Marruzzi of Holbrook.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Wednesday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 10 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Tuesday 4 - 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
