TEWKSBURY - George H. Green IV, age 51, a well known member of the Tewksbury community, died Thursday evening, March 10, at the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Cambridge, after a courageous two year battle with cancer.
He was born in Cambridge, February 10, 1960, one of five children of Jean (Carbo) Green and George H. Green III, who reside in Tewksbury. He was raised in Tewksbury and was a member of the Tewksbury Memorial High School, Class of 1979.
He has worked as a hardwood floor contractor throughout his career. He was also an outdoors man, who enjoyed fishing, hunting and photography.
He will be remembered for his outgoing and friendly nature, quick wit, infectious smile, and great sense of humor.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his siblings, Linda Beausoleil and her husband Michael of Dracut, Robert J. Green and his wife Lynda (Beaulieu) of Salem, NH, James M. Green and his fiance Lois DaPointe of Lawrence, Marianne Nichols and her husband Stephen of Tewksbury; six nieces and nephews, Monica, Jacqueline, and Joseph Beausoleil, Camden, Shaylyn, and Taylor Green; several aunts; and numerous friends throughout the Merrimack Valley.
He was also godfather and uncle of the late Michael Beausoleil.
His funeral was held Monday, March 14, in the funeral home, followed by burial at St. Mary's Cemetery, No. Tewksbury. Memorials to the George H. Green IV Memorial Fund, will be appreciated.
