Mrs. Barbara Lou Moser, age 81, widow of the late William Clay “W.C.” Moser, of Dobson, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mrs. Moser was born in Surry County on November 11, 1929 to the late Curtis and Fairy Bowman Harbour. Mrs. Moser was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She worked as a banker starting out at First National Bank in Mt. Airy and was a member of Level Cross United Methodist Church. Mrs. Moser is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Wendy Moser of Dobson; one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Ken Shaw of Uncertain, TX; four grandsons, Jason and wife Grayson of Pilot Mountain, Jared and wife Ashley of Mt. Airy, and Josh Moser of Dobson, Major Clay and wife Teddi Readinger of Monterey, CA and one granddaughter, Barbara Readinger of Carthage, TX; three great grandchildren, Brett Moser, Billi Marie Readinger and Sammi Grace Moser; one brother and sister-in-law, Don and Carolyn Harbour of King; and one sister, Nancy Gardner of Dobson. Mrs. Moser is preceded in death by her loving husband, parents; and one sister, Peggy Harbour Johnson. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Level Cross United Methodist Church at 2:00 P.M with the Rev. Rickey Spencer officiating with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 12, 2011 from 6-8 PM at Cox-Needham Funeral Home.
