Dear father of Kim(Dore)and her husband Mark Gerard of Marshfield, Kevin Dore of Reading, and Kathleen (Katie) Dore of W.Harwich. Loving grandfather of Stephen, Matthew and Nicholas Gerard. Son-in-law of Margaret C. Kelly of Arlington. Best friend of Danny Kittredge of Maine. Brother of Helen Aldo of Norwood, Maryann Flaherty of Pompano Beach, FL , Christine Theran of CA and the late Albert Dore.
Ronnie served on the Marshfield Police Department for 30 years. He also served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. Ronnie was born in Norwood, graduated from So. Boston High School, North Eastern University, on the dean’s list with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science in criminal justice. He enjoyed spending time with his grandsons. He was an avid fisherman. He had his Captain’s license and worked in Alligator Alley in FL doing Airboat tours after his retirement. He also enjoyed hunting.
Funeral from the MacDonald Funeral Home, l755 Ocean St., rte. l39, Marshfield, on Wednesday, March l6, at l0 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Marshfield at ll a.m.
Visiting hours Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
