HERDT, Robert G. of Winthrop, March 9, 2011. He was 90. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy Louise (Wood) Herdt. Born in Torrington, CT, he was the son of the late Henrich and Olga (Rosenbeck) Herdt. Devoted father of Paula F. (Herdt) Wrenn and her husband Sy of N.H., R. Peter Herdt and his wife Janna, of Idaho, and Randall C. Herdt and his wife Michelle of Winthrop, and the late Leslie A. Herdt of Chelsea. Adored grandfather of 10 and great-grandfather of 8. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home 210 Winthrop St. WINTHROP, on Thurs, April 7, beginning at 12pm, followed by a Funeral Service, in conjunction with his daughter Leslie, in the funeral home at 1pm. Prior to his retirement, he worked at the Boston Naval Shipyard as a tool and die maker. He later went on to work for General Electric, retiring from there also.
