Arnold L. Capello, age 72, joined his Lord and Savior on March 7, 2011 at home while surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving and caring husband of 37 years to Nancy Capello. He was the son of the late Marion Fortes and the late Leon Capello.
He is survived by his wife; seven daughters Doreen DeCosta of Rochester, Rhonda Capello and Kerry Capello, both of NJ, Debra Watkins of TX, Susan Normandin of New Bedford, Gail Normandin of PA, and Ann Monteiro of FL; two sons Robert Normandin Jr. of CA and Raymond Normandin of Norton; his siblings, Jo-Ann Correira of New Bedford, Joseph Capello and LaVan Fortes, both of NY; his stepmother, Nancy Capello of NY; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Arnold had an extensive career working at St. Luke's Hospital, and had recent employment at Coastline's PACE Foster Grandparent Program.
A celebration of his life serving his Lord and Savior "each day with Sweet Precious Jesus" will be held at the Salvation Army Corps, 619 Purchase Street, New Bedford, on Saturday March 19, 2011 at 1:00 PM.
