Christina M. (McLarty) Maltman, 85, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at the Golden Living Center in Middleboro on Tuesday, March 8. She was the wife of the late John W. Maltman. Born and educated in Scotland, she was a resident of Stoughton for 58 years. Mrs. Maltman was a teacher’s aide at the West Elementary School in Stoughton for several years before working as an executive secretary at Cullinet in Westwood for 5 years. She retired 24 years ago. She was active at the First Congregational Church of Sharon.
Mrs. Maltman is survived by her children, Lesley E. Sears of Whitman, Lindsay H. Dorfman of Middleboro, Eric J. Maltman of CA, Neil H. Maltman of Stoughton and Ross V. Maltman of AZ, as well as her grandchildren, Julie Sears, William Sears, Jr., Ashley Thomas, Duncan Maltman, Jason Dorfman and Shari Doerr and her great-grandsons, Jack Sears and Colby Thomas. She was the sister of the late Elizabeth Armstrong.
Funeral Service will be held from the First Congregational Church of Sharon, 29 N. Main St., Sharon on Saturday, March 12 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours omitted. Burial will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Christina’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assn., 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
