Hunt, Raymond M. ”Doodle”. 93 of Louisville died March 6, 2011 at Oaklawn and Rehabilitation Center.
Raymond was born on a farm in Meade County, KY. December 11, 1917 near the neighborhoods of Grahamton and Woodland. He attended community elementary schools in Grahamton and Woodland and graduated from Meade Co., H.S. in 1934. Raymond indicated a proclivity for all things mechanical and was fondly nicknamed “Doodle”. In 1944, the family opened a farm machinery sales business in Louisville originally known as R.S. Hunt and Sons which later developed into Hunt Tractor, Inc where Raymond was an Executive and Service Manager before retiring in 1977.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Roy S. and Lillian P. Hunt, a sister Mildred Hunt Rogers, and his wife Ruth Melton Hunt. He is survived by a sister, Dorothy Hunt Veirs, a brother Roy H. Hunt, nephews Leland R. Rogers, W. Scott Hunt Sr., nieces Linda Rogers, Beverly Rogers Faulkner, and Judi Hunt.

Raymond was a member of the Hurstbourne Christian Church, and the family is grateful to the members and staff for their friendship and ministry during his long illness.
His Funeral Service will be 1 pm Wednesday March 9, 2011 at Owen Funeral Home-Jeffersontown 9318 Taylorsville Rd. Burial will be at Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 am till 1pm at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to his church.
