WORCESTER-Alfred J. Fournier, 77 of 3 Victor Avenue, died Monday, January 12th in Clark Manor Nursing Home after a long illness. His wife Janet L. (Boulette) Fournier died in 1990. He leaves 3 sons Michael A. Fournier of Worcester, Alan D. Fournier of Tampa, FL and Alfred "Larry" Fournier of Canaan, VT, 2 daughters Donna J. Gentile and Denise M. West both of Worcester, 3 brothers Robert Fournier of Spencer, Paul Fournier of NJ and Richard Fournier of Big Pine Key, FL, 5 sisters Eleanor Bloomstrom of Auburn, Virginia Jouerdy of Brewster, MA, Joan Cullman of CT, Ann Gagnon of CA and Phyllis Brunelle of Manhattan Beach, CA, 16 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, many nephews and nieces. A sister Janet Manning predeceased him.
He was born in Auburn the son of Alfred and Veronica (Barber) Fournier. Mr. Fournier was a plumber and a master pipe fitter for the Mass Pike for 10 years until retirement. Previously he worked as a plumber for most of his life. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener.
A private funeral service will be held Friday, January 16th. Burial will follow. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is directing the arrangements.
