Billie Green Burnette, age 81, of 572 Cedar Road, Ringgold, died Saturday, March 5, 2011 in Danville Regional Medical Center.
Born February 25, 1930 in Princeton, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Green Washington Matherly and Eva Belcher Matherly. She was predeceased by three husbands, Artie Hall, Pete Hall, and Elmer Burnette. Mrs. Burnette worked in Dan River as a weaver for a number of years. A faithful follower and lover of the Lord Jesus Christ, she was a member of Evangel Assembly Of God where she had served as a deacon.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law: Connie Hall of Alton, VA; grandchildren: Michelle Hall, Dennis Hall, Artie B. Hall, Jr., Jessica Espinosa, Travis Hall, Charlie Hall, Billy Hall, Jeffrey Hall; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by two sons, Artie B. Hall, Sr. and Harold Dennis Hall, and by one grandson, Jason Blake Hall, and by all of her brothers and sisters.
Funeral services officiated by Pastor Ben Forrest, Pastor Mike Buckley, and Pastor Doug Jamerson, will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Evangel Assembly Of God on Cedar Road in Ringgold. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens.
At other times, the family will be at the residence, 572 Cedar Road, Ringgold.
