Westport – David Souza, 83, of Westport died at home on March 6, 2011. He was the widower of Elsie (Araujo) Souza.
Mr. Souza was born in Fall River, son of the late John and Rose (Gagne) Souza. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. He was a communicant of St. George Church, Westport. He was employed as a shipper by the former Rezendes Furniture, New Bedford and later by Stafford Furniture, Fall River.
Survivors include a daughter: Sharon Ann Souza of Westport; 2 brothers: Edward Souza and his wife Lillian of W. Wareham and John P. Souza and his wife Lorraine of Fall River; a sister: Mary Lucy Thibault and her husband Donald of Stuart, FL; 2 sisters-in-law: Alice Souza and Lorraine Viveiros and her husband Steve; and several nieces & nephews.
He was brother of the late George Souza.
Funeral services will be private.
