George A. Damouras

TEWKSBURY - George A. Damouras, age 69, a former manager for Com Energy, died Monday,Jan. 12, at the Lowell general Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Nancy(Andrade) Damouras, with whom he had celebrated a 42nd wedding anniversary this past Sept.30th.
He was born in Cambridge, Dec. 27, 1934, a son of the late Arthur and Dena (Zarakas)Damouras. He was raised in Cambridge, and was graduated from Rindge High School. He hadlived in Tewksbury for the past 39 years.
He was a peacetime veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was employed by Com Energy company in Cambridge, now ENSTAR, for more than 42years. He retired as the Manager of Computer Operations in 1993.
Mr. Damouras was a lifelong member of the St. Constantine and Helen, Greek Orthodox Churchin Cambridge.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Anthony Provencher ofSalem, NH; two sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Cheryl (Boutwell) Damouras of Pepperell,James and Karen (Toth) Damouras of Belchertown; a sister, Stella Damouras of Watertown;seven grandchildren, Nicole Hunter, Marissa and Samantha Provencher all of Salem, NH, Brianand Jennifer Damouras of Pepperell, Calandra and Abby Damouras of Belchertown; and manybrothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
He was also brother of the late Dem Damouras.
His Funeral Servive was held Thursday, Jan. 15, in the St. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, Cambridge. Interment was in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.
