Elizabeth C. (Glancy) Brunelli 91, a former longtime resident of Chestnut St., died Thursday March 3, 2011 at the Carney Hospital in Dorchester. She was the wife of the late Bruno C. Brunelli, who died in 1991.
Born in Norwood, June 28, 1919 a daughter of the late George W. and Mary I. (Noonan) Glancy, she was raised and educated in Norwood, and lived in Franklin for most of her life until moving to Dorchester in 1992.
Before her retirement, Mrs. Brunelli worked at M.I.T. and at the former Woonsocket Hospital as an executive secretary.
She was a volunteer at the John F. Kennedy Library in Boston, and the Massachusetts Archives. She also was a member of the board of directors of Boston Bel Canto Opera.
She is survived by 3 sons; John P. Brunelli of Norwood, William J. and Robert E. Brunelli of Oldsmar, Florida, a sister Mary Glancy-Tomasionis of Norwood, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She also leaves her dear friend Sr. Joyce McMullen SND of Dorchester.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral with visitation beginning at 8:45AM Tuesday March 8th, at the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Franklin, www.franklinfuneral.com, with a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church 1 Church Sq. Franklin at 10AM.
Her interment will be held privately.
