Larry Allen Griffin, 77, Clarksville, passed away Friday March 4, 2011 at Gateway Medical Center.
Mr. Griffin was born February 18, 1934 in Altoona, AL. the son of the late H.C. Griffin and Mary Louellen Harris Griffin.
Mr. Griffin worked as a Electronic Technician for E.I. Dupont from 1963 until 1993. He was a Navy Veteran having served on the USS Mt. Baker AE4. He was in the Masonic Lodge in Goodlettsville and a Volunteer Fireman at Dupont. He was a member of Hilldale United Methodist Church and formerly a member of 1st Baptist Church Goodlettsville.
Mr. Griffin is survived by his wife Faye Carolyn Downey Griffin, of Clarksville, one son Terry Allen (Debbie) Griffin of Clarksville, two grandchildren Amanda Griffin and Allen Griffin, four sisters Margaret Johns, Claudine Henderson, Dorothy Taylor, Sybil Griffin, two brothers Henry Griffin and Bill Griffin.
He was preceded in death by three sisters Estell, Inez and Hazel.
The funeral service will be 10:30 AM Tuesday March 8, 2011 at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home with Pastor Skip Armistead officiating.
Visitation will be Monday 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and Tuesday 9:00 AM until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Burial will be Tuesday 2:00 PM at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West Hopkinsville with full Military Honors.
Honorary pallbearers will be retirees of Dupont and members of Oak Hills Golf Course.
