Sherrol J. “Sherry” (Teixeira) Riccelli age 68 of Brockton died Friday March 4, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center after a long illness. She was the loving wife of Paul R. Riccelli. Born in Brockton and raised in West Bridgewater, Sherry a daughter of the late John and Emily (Burgess) Teixeira and had been a resident of Brockton for 46 years.
Sherry loved children, especially her grandchildren and operated a day care center in her home for 20 years. Previously she had worked as a teachers aide at the Huntington School in Brockton. For many years she had been a volunteer for MDA and was a life member of the Women’s Auxiliary VFW Post 697 in Whitman. In her free time Sherry loved to bake and cook. Sherry will be remembered as a loving, caring and giving woman who always put everyone else first.
In addition to her husband Sherry is survived by her daughter Paula Minchello and her husband Michael of Whitman and her two granddaughters Ava and Liliana. She was the sister of John Teixeira of West Bridgewater and June Nobrega of Brockton. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Sunday 2-5 pm. Funeral procession will form at the funeral home Monday at 8 am with Funeral Mass in Holy Ghost Church, 518 Washington Street, Whitman at 9 am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery West Bridgewater.
