Obituary

Harold P. “Harry” Surette age 64 of Brockton died unexpectedly Thursday March 3, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Kathy M. (Carmichael) Surette. Harry was born in Nova Scotia a son of Alice Surette of Nova Scotia and the late Peter Surette. He was raised in Lynn and Peabody and had resided in Brockton for the past 18 years. Harry was a proud US Marine who served as a Sergeant in Viet Nam and saw action in Khe San.
Harry was a founder and principal of AAMS Corp. in Taunton and was well known for expertise in the metal fabrication industry. He was an avid outdoorsman who was a master archer and loved hunting and fishing. He was a passionate member of the NRA and a proud American with a great patriotic sentiment.
Harry is survived by his children Dinah Powell and her husband Larry of Peabody and Derek Surette of Quincy and step children Samuel Staula of Brockton, Adam Staula of Burlington, VT and Jenna Staula of NY. He leaves a sister Patricia Pointer and her husband Bill of Ocala, FL, one granddaughter and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Son in law of Robert Carmichael of Brockton and the late Lois Carmichael. Brother in law of Carol Drake and her husband Brad, Robert Carmichael,Jr. and Paul Carmichael all of Brockton.
Visitation in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton, Sunday, March 6, 2011 from 2-6 pm. Procession forming at the funeral home Monday at 8 am followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 am in Our Lady of Lourdes Church 429 West St., Brockton.
