Alice H. (Tiryakian) Seferian, 89, of Medway, died Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the Milford Care & Rehabilitation Center. She was the beloved wife of John D. Seferian who she married on December 17, 1949 in Paris, France.
Born in Talas, Historic Armenia, she was the daughter of the late Hovoness and Victoria (Kalfayan) Tiryakian. Mrs. Seferian grew up in Historic Armenia and has been a resident of Medway since 1949.
Mrs. Seferian was a homemaker all of her life and enjoyed cooking, sewing and caring for her family. She also enjoyed vacationing in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter Diana Shepherd and her husband Edmund of Mesa, AZ, her son Paul Seferian and his wife Penny of Medway, a grandson Scott Shepherd of Gilbert, AZ, a great-grandson Cooper Shepherd and a step-granddaughter Candie Seferian of Medway.
She is also survived her nephews, Dr. Vartan Ghugasian and Armen Ghugasian and also many cousins of the Minakyan, Candan, Giritlian, Karaian and Seferian families.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, March 11 at the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway from 10 – 11:15 a.m. followed by a funeral service at the Armenian Church of the Holy Translators, 38 Franklin St. in Framingham at Noon.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in West Medway.
