James M. “Bibber” Bradley, a life-long Medford resident, died peacefully at home with his loving family by his side. He was 77.
Bibber was born and raised in Medford, the son of the late John and the late Eileen (McLaughlin) Bradley. After completing St. Joseph’s Grammar School, he entered Mirimar Seminary High School, Duxbury. After graduation, Bibber enlisted in the Marine Corps and served in the Korean War. His willingness to accept unpopular assignments at the front won him the admiration of his comrades. When he returned home, Bibber enrolled at Merrimac College and earned a degree in business. He eventually worked at Itek Corporation in Lexington for 30 years where he was a cost analyst. Upon his retirement he worked as the tuition officer at St. Joseph School. Bibber was a devout man who was active at his parish, enjoyed reading and good conversation. He was a wonderful and devoted husband, father who loved his family and enjoyed the company of his relatives and many dear friends.
The beloved husband of Elizabeth "Polly" (Merrigan) Bradley, He was a devoted father to Ellen Bradley and her husband John Dullaghan of South Boston, Pakie Bradley and Monica Bradley, both of Medford. He was a dear brother to John Bradley of Winchester and the late Paul Bradley, leaves many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family Friday from 4 thru 8 PM at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, and again on Saturday morning at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
