Doris L. Boucher died on March 2, 2011 at the Signature Healthcare Hospital in Brockton at the age of 91. Doris was born in Brockton on September 17, 1919, the daughter of the late George and Dolores (Beauregard) Boucher. She was educated at Sacred Heart School and St. Patrick’s High School. Doris worked for many years at the Toll House restaurant in Whitman. Much of Doris’ free time was devoted to her family, in particular to her numerous nephews and nieces who all became very fond of “Auntie Dot”. She took them to the movies and taught them how to ride a bicycle. Doris was loved and admired by her family for her kind caretaking of her father and her mother in their later years.
Doris was the sister of Alice Zaccaro of Brockton, with whom she lived for many years, Armand of Nebraska, Raymond of Bourne and Clarence “Sweeney” and his wife Beatrice of Bourne. She also leaves 24 nieces and nephews and several grand nieces and nephews. Her brothers George, Arthur and Roland and her sister Irene Nardi, preceded her in death.
All are welcome to calling hours Friday 4-7pm at Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton. The funeral will take place Saturday at 10am from Conley Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass at 11am at Christ The King Parish , 42 Wendell Ave., Brockton. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
