HUTCHISON - David Acie “D.A.” Hutchison, 70, passed away March 1, 2011. He was born November 14, 1940 in Douglas, GA and moved to the Fernandina Beach – Yulee area in 1994 from Waycross, GA.
He was a member of New Hope Advent Christian Church and the Loyal Order of the Moose #2355. Mr. Hutchison retired as Plant Manager from Swisher International. He was a man of integrity and was well loved. D. A. played the guitar and had a passion for music and fishing. He enjoyed spending time with family.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Hutchison of Yulee, FL; a daughter, Kristi Hames (Clyde) of Waycross, GA; two step daughters, Vicki Simmon (Jim) of Fernandina Beach, FL and Vonnie Stone of Waycross, GA; a brother, Noah Hutchison (Charlotte) of Salem, VA; two sisters, Nell Morgan of Blackshear, GA and Deloris Yarborough (Bill) of Waycross, GA; three grandchildren, five step grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Stephens Chapel at Green Pine Funeral Home with Pastor Clyde Hames officiating. Interment will follow in Green Pine Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
