Westminster
Lee Willard Clancy Sr. 64, died Saturday February 26, at UMASS Medical
Center in Worcester after an illness with his loving family at his bedside.
Lee was born in Fitchburg, November 14, 1946, the son of Willard Lee
Clancy and Helen (Cochran) DeLorme. He grew up in Fitchburg and
attended local schools. He was employed for many years at the Norton Co.
in Worcester and later was service manager for 10 years at Sears
Department Store automotive department. and retired in 1989 due to
illness.
Lee is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Shawn E. and Tammi
Clancy of Ashburnham, his fiancee Louiselle Harnois, of Westminster, his
brother and sister-in-law Thomas DeLorme and Diana Houle of N.H. He
also leaves his sisters and brothers-in-law Judy and Paul Ludvigson of
Leominster, Joyce and Rhys Henry of Fitchburg and Jeanie and William
Gagnon of R.I.. Grandchildren Patrick Cadieux, Jacob and Kyler Clancy. He
also leaves his step-children Tammy Longo and Christopher Harnois; step-
grandchildren Brent and Courtney Longo and Dylan Strom and Cierra
Harnois. His wife Karen (Hogdon) Clancy died several years ago. Two sons
Lee Jr. and Jason Clancy and his step-father Eugene "Gino" DeLorme
who raised him also predeceased him.
Lee was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and served with the 587th
Signal Co. He was awarded the National Service Defense Medal, Vietnam
Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze service star
A funeral service will be held on Thursday March 3, at 10;00 A.M. in the
Bosk Funeral Home 85 Blossom St. followed by burial with military honors
in St. Bernard Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday in the funeral home
from 6 to 8 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family and left at the
funeral home.
