Mark E. Lennon, age 45, a lifelong resident of Woburn passed away sudden and unexpectedly February 27th, at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford. Born in Woburn he was one of five sons of Dr. Paul J. Lennon and his wife Elaine of Woburn, and the late Janice M. (Hartnett) Lennon.
“Hawka” as he was affectionately known to his family and friends was raised and educated in Woburn and was a graduate of Woburn Memorial High School with the class of 1984. He also attended Middlesex Community College where he received an Associates Degree in dental technology. Mark was most recently employed as a supervisor with the Armstrong Ambulance Company and prior to that he had worked with the Action Ambulance Company for more than twenty years. Mark was a loyal and faithful employee who was greatly admired by his many colleagues and friends that he made over the years working as a first responder and life saver in the Emergency Medical Services. Mark was a very humble person and a true pleasure to be around. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and especially spending time at Wingaersheek Beach. He was an avid sports fan of all the local major sport teams, but mostly enjoyed kicking back with his family and friends.
In addition to his father, Dr. Paul J. Lennon, Mark is survived by his brothers, Dr. Paul J. Lennon Jr., Peter J. Lennon and his wife Dawn, David J. Lennon and his wife Catina, Michael S. Lennon and his wife Ellen, Dennis Dooley, Dr. Joseph Dooley and his wife Shannon, Susan Mogauro and her husband Jamie, all of Woburn. He was the loving uncle of Cheyanne, Peter Jr., Jack, David Jr., Maria, Christian and Juliana Lennon, Christopher, Emily and Allison Mogauro, Dillon and Jake Dooley. He is also survived by his beloved fiancée Jackie Hudson and her son Jovan of Medford. He is further survived by many loving extended family members, dear friends and colleagues.
Funeral services will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Saturday, March 5th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 280 Main St., Woburn, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday from 3 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Mark's memory to the Boys and Girls Club of Woburn, Charles Gardner Lane, Woburn, MA 01801.
