Richard Lee Purvis, 49, of Omega died Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Private services and burial will be held at a later date.
Mr. Purvis was born on February 27, 1962 in Mason City, Iowa and was the son of Sue Marchant Purvis of Omega and the late J.P. Purvis. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Danny Purvis; and one sister, Debra Purvis. He was disabled and of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Purvis is survived by the mother of his children, Kim Purvis of Tifton; two sons, Dallas Purvis of Tifton and Austin Purvis of DeSoto, Missouri; one brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Kristi Purvis of Berrien County; one sister and brother-in-law, Kimberly and Thomas Varnadoe of Omega.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
