Sugarman, Keith, 55 of Revere passed away on February 26, 2011 at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Keith was born in Malden, MA and was raised in Revere. He was a graduate of Revere High School. Keith was a one of a kind, uniquely gifted musician, whose heart and home was always open to family, friends and strangers alike. Keith created his own style of music which he called “god rock”, a reflection of his strong spirituality. His offbeat sense of humor, smile and spirit will be forever missed by everyone who ever had the privilege of knowing him as he made the world a kinder and sweeter place.
Keith was the loving son of the late Judith Alter and David Sugarman. He was the dear brother of Robert Alter and his wife Suzanne and Judd Alter. Keith was the loving uncle of Rhiannon Alter.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Rabbi Isaac Elchonon Cemetery, 232 Fuller St. Everett, MA. Donations in his memory may be made to the VH1 Save the Music Foundation, 1515 Broadway New York, New York 10036.
