Muriel E. Cullen, 84, of Londonderry, NH died Sunday February 27, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Muriel was born in Wakefield, MA on December 10, 1926, daughter of the late Albert F. and Helen I. (Gilligan) Funk. She had resided in Londonderry since 1972, formerly living in Franklin, MA. Muriel was a communicant of St. Jude Parish in Londonderry where she was an active member of the Women's Guild. She spent her early years surrounding her family with love, laughter and many fun-filled times. In her later years, she enjoyed traveling around the country. She was an avid animal lover. She was predeceased by her husband, William J. Cullen in 2004 and by her son, William B. Cullen in 2007.
She is survived by four sons, Brian Cullen and his wife Rita of Manchester, NH, Robert Cullen of Temple, NH, Mark Cullen and his wife Casee of Londonderry, Christopher Cullen of Londonderry, two daughters, Donna Wood and her husband Bill of Londonderry, Karen Cawley and her husband Patrick of Londonderry, four grandchildren, and also several nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday March 2, 2011 at 10:00 am in St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Burial followed in Holy Cross Cemetery, Londonderry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Home Health & Hospice Care, 7 Executive Park Dr., Merrimack, NH 03054 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry is handling arrangements.
