Norman Earl Rogers, Jr., 68, of New Bedford died Sunday February 27, 2010 at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in Dartmouth, the son of the late Norman E. and Julia (Niles) Rogers, he lived in Dartmouth for most of his life.
Mr. Rogers was a self-employed floor installer and carpenter.
He was a member of Dartmouth Veterans of Foreign Wars and served in the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by three sons, David Rogers of Pennsylvania, Robert Rogers of New Bedford, and Mark Rogers of Phoenix, AZ; his siblings, James Rogers of New Bedford, Carolyn McAlpine of New Bedford, Barbara Allard of Acushnet, Shirley Lanouette, Betty Mendonca, Nancy Pereira and Gloria Lanouette all of Dartmouth, and Diane West of New Bedford; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 8 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Visiting hours Wednesday 6-8 PM prior to the service.
