MANCHESTER-Violet L. Plourde, 89, died February 27, 2011 at Greenbriar Terrace Healthcare in Nashua after a brief illness.
She was born in Manchester on August 12, 1921 the daughter of Francois and Laura (Bilodeau) Dufresne and had been a lifelong resident of this city.
She was a member of the Catholic War Veterans Ladies Auxiliary 1624, and was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Jean Baptiste Church.
She was predeceased by her husband Cleophas E. Plourde October 23, 2000.
Members of her family include her daughter Muriel Morin of Maine, five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
SERVICES:Calling hours will be Wednesday from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bride St.. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 AM in Parish of the Transfiguration, Kelley St.. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
