Doris F. (Vermette) Lavallee, 90, formerly of North Smithfield, died February 27th in the Friendly Home. She was the wife of the late Eugene Lavallee. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Alice Vermette.
Mrs. Lavallee was a former owner of Vermette's Restaurant where she waitressed for over fifty years.
Mrs. Lavallee was survived by her brother Walter Vermette of Woonsocket, her son Alfred Lavallee and his companion Linda of Cumberland, two daughters, Michelle Guertin and her husband Ricky, formerly of N. Smithfield, now of Northbridge and Elaine Doire and her husband Ken of Smithfield, grandchildren Anna Pierce, Stephanie Lavallee, Dorene Levesque, Stephen Lavallee, Kristen and Jeffrey Berard, Marc Goodwin, Aimee Lombardo, Brittany and Aynsley Guertin, and thirteen great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two children, Ronald Lavallee and Denise Berard, and brothers Raymond, Ralph, and Arthur Vermette.
Her funeral, with visitation beginning at 9:30AM will be Wednesday from the Fournier and Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St, Woonsocket followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at noon in St. John the Evangelist Church, N. Smithfield. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
