Dinesha Peiris, 37, of Bellingham died February 26 in the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following a long illness. She was the wife of Sampath Galappatty.
Born in Colombo, Sri Lanka, November 2, 1973, the daughter of Doris Peiris of Colombo, Sri Lanka and the late Jinadasa Peiris, she was raised in Sri Lanka and came to America in 1999.
Diensha first lived in Michigan then moved to Framingham where she lived until coming to Bellingham in 2002.
She was the branch manager of the Sovereign Bank in Bellingham for the past 2 years.
She had previously worked for Bank of America at the Franklin Village branch for several years.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her brothers, Lalanga Peiris of Portsmouth, New Hampshire and Dulantha Peiris of Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Her funerals service will be held on Wednesday, March 2 at 7:00 p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m.
