Herman L. Harrison Sr., age 103 of Salem, NH, died peacefully at his home on Friday.
He was born in Hooksett, NH, to the late Walter & Matilda (Huneau) Harrison. He was one of 17 children. He was a resident of Salem for the past 87 years, where he graduated from the first class of Woodbury High School in 1929 and played football and baseball for coach Geremonty.
Mr. Harrison worked various jobs from the Arlington Mills to the Salem School District & Haigh School. He retired in 1973. He built his own home in the 1940s and lived there the rest of his life. He enjoyed his family and keeping busy. He was honored and presented the Boston Post Cane in 2007 for being the eldest citizen of Salem, NH.
He was predeceased by his granddaughter Tammy Lee.

Private services will be held for the family. There are no calling hours.
