Obituary

Julia “May” (Dunne) Lydon passed away on February 25, 2011. She was 86 years old.

Born in Boston, Julia was a longtime resident of both Quincy and Dorchester before moving to Malden. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and the Castle Island Association.

Julia was the devoted wife of the late James Lydon. She was the beloved daughter of the late James and Hannah (Cuddihy) Dunne and the loving sister of Catherine “Kay” Dunne of Charlestown. Julia was the dear and loving aunt of Margie Drummey, Theresa Woodhouse, Jim Curran and Maureen Celata. She is also survived by her 15 grandnieces and grandnephews.

The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Tuesday, March 1st at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph’s Church, 770 Salem Street, Malden at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Monday, February 28th from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
