In Raynham, February 23, 2011 Mary Ellen Rochette, age 66 passed away following a courageous battle with cancer in the Life Care Center of Raynham. She was born in Taunton to her late parents Charles & Mary (Doherty) Rochette. Mary Ellen had lived most of her life in Raynham. She was a graduate of Bridgewater Raynham High School and attended Massasoit Community College, Harvard University, Brown University and the Academy of Learning. She was the executive director of Pro Home Inc. in Taunton since 1999. Mary Ellen was a member of St. Vincent DePaul the Rotary Club, Elk’s Club, Girl Scouts of America and the Women of the Year-Business & Professional Women’s Club for two years. She was also affiliated with several other organizations; Fair Housing, Coalition for the Homeless, Minority Coalition, Human service providers, Office for Children just to name a few. Mary Ellen brought joy to all she had known with her positive attitude and ever friendly personality. Besides her late parents she was also preceded in death by her sister Diane Rochette. She also leaves her relatives and many close friends. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Monday, Feb. 28th at 9am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Ann’s Church in Raynham at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Sunday from 2-4pm. Interment will be in the family lot at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton.
