Obituary

Edward McQuay, 72, of Dartmouth died February 21, 2011 at Tufts Medical Center after a long illness.
He was the husband of Linea A. (Carlson) McQuay.
Born in Richmond, VA, the son of the late Mack and Annie (Arthur) McQuay, he lived around the world while serving in the U.S. Army for 22 years. He retired to Dartmouth in 1988.
Mr. McQuay was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
Upon retirement for the U.S. Army, he was later employed as food service manager at the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth.
He was an avid golfer.
Survivors include his wife; 2 daughters, Haylee McQuay and Saydee McQuay, both of Dartmouth; a sister, Phyllis Squire of Richmond, VA; several nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 25th at 10 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd., (Rt. 6) Mattapoisett. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery. Visiting hours Thursday, February 24th from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Tufts Medical Center c/o Edward McQuay Memorial Fund 21 Gentle Valley Dr. Dartmouth, MA 02747.
