Vera Frances Blanton, 83, Clarksville, died Sunday, February 20, 2011, at Clarksville Nursing and Rehab. The funeral will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home with Steve Kirby officiating. Burial will be in Davidson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM Wednesday and from 10:00 AM until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born July 4, 1927, in Montgomery County, the daughter of the late Askew and Pauline Evans McCormac. She was preceded in death by her husband George Blanton, daughter Linda Faye Blanton and two brothers, Jesse W. McCormac and Askew McCormac, Jr. She was a member of Hilldale Church of Christ. She is survived by three daughters Betty (Terry) McCormack of Clarksville, Pamela (Carl) Hinton of PA, Debbie (Thomas) Waynick of Palmyra, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren Pallbearers will be Benjamin McCormack, Richy McCormack, Micah McCormac, Tommy McCormac, Pete Church and Brian Pickell.
