Miss Nancy Lee Bettencourt, of Taunton, died Sunday, February 20 in Taunton Nursing Home following a period of failing health. She was born 70 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late Antone and Mary (Ferreira) Bettencourt. She was educated in Taunton and had been a lifelong city resident. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a packer for the former Coppercraft Guild in Taunton for many years. Miss Bettencourt enjoyed music and especially playing the organ. She was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church in Taunton.
She leaves her extended family, including her uncle, Robert Ferrie of Raynham, and Arthur and Janet Gamache of Taunton
A Visitation will be held at The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Tuesday, February 22, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
