Ronald Quentin Durst, 69, of Eureka, passed away Friday February 18, 2011 at Eureka Hospital.
He was born on March 30, 1941 to Quentin “Jim” and Irene (Miller) Durst. He married Carol L. Kelly on April 27, 1962 in Lacon.
Surviving is his wife along with one daughter Kelly (Durst) Lanane of Aledo, two sons Kyle (Ylanda) Durst and Kristopher Durst both of Eureka. His mother of Eureka as well as four Grandchildren Kaitlyn Colson, Michael Johnson, Daniel Johnson, and Cody Lynch also survives him, as well as one sister Sharon (Marvin) Perzee of Ashkum, IL and his beloved cat Tigger. His father preceded him in death in 2003
Ron was a 1959 graduate of Eureka High school. He worked for Caterpillar Tractor, working in East Peoria for 36 years retiring in 1999.
Services will be 3pm Monday Feb 21, 2011 at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel with Father Eugene Radosevich officiating. Visitation will be from 1pm until service time at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded after services with burial of the cremated remains at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Metamora at a later date.
