Dedra Marie DiFronzo died peacefully Thursday surrounded by her loving family at Brighten Rehabilitation Center of Medford. She was 44.
Dedra was born in Boston’s North End and lived in Medford and for the past 25 years in Malden. Dedra suffered a lifetime of illness and was lovingly cared for by her family. She enjoyed family trips and holidays.
The cherished daughter of Arcangelo “Arky” DiFronzo of Malden and the late Cleda (Barnum), she was the dear stepdaughter of Maureen DiFronzo of Malden. She was a beloved sister of Debra Keefe and her husband Tim of Brockton, Michael “Arky” DiFronzo of Salem, Della Walsh and her husband John of Tewksbury, Denise Schram and her husband Leon of Saugus and devoted half sister of Danielle Lockhart and her husband Brian of Reading and Derek DiFronzo of Malden. Dedra also leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday, February 23rd at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden, at 10:30 AM. Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family on Tuesday from 4 thru 8 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent in Dedra’s name to St. Jude Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
