Obituary

John Haughey, 74, of Center Ossipee, New Hampshire formerly of Franklin and Milton died February 18 in the Charlwell House in Norwood. He was the husband of Helen L. (Joyce) Haughey.
Born in Milford, July 16, 1936, the son of the late John and Eleanor (Moran) Haughey, Mr. Haughey was raised in Franklin and had lived in Milton for many years before moving to New Hampshire in 1999.
Mr. Haughey was a graduate Franklin High School and Northeastern University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
Mr. Haughey had worked as a mechanical engineer for the United States Department of Transportation for many years before retiring.
Mr. Hauhgey served in the Army during the late 1950’s attaining the rank of Private First Class.
John loved to travel.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, John J. Haughey and his wife Stephanie of North Attleboro and Maureen Barker and her husband Michael of Franklin.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Shannon, Shane and Sean Haughey and Tyler, Ali and Aidan Barker.
His funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday February 23 in St. Mary’s Church in Franklin at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 12:45 p.m.
Visitation will be from 9:00-9:45 on Wednesday in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin.
