WASHINGTON…Robert O. Clark, 92, of Washington, passed away peacefully at 3:08 a.m., Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Washington Christian Village surrounded by his family.
Bob was born on January 5, 1919 in Columbus, Ohio to Herman and Myrtle Koontz Clark. He married Kay Rosenak in Peoria on May 7, 1959. Kay and Bob enjoyed more than 51 years of marriage and she survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Krista (Mike) Owsley, Leah R. Clark and Trina Clark-Ulrich, all of Washington; one brother, Bill (Ursula) Clark of Ohio; two sisters, Naomi (Finley) Thompson and Ruth Cothern, both of Ohio; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
Bob was retired from CILCO, where he had worked in the Peoria area for more than 28 years as an electrician.
He loved worshipping the Lord at Christian Life Church of Creve Coeur.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 7 p.m. at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor Ron Talbott and Pastor Jason Clark (Grandson) officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service. Cremation rites will be accorded following services and burial of ashes will be in Springdale Cemetery in Peoria at a later date.
Memorials may be made to his church or the Alzheimers Association in Peoria.
