New Bedford - Jose R. Botelho, age 72 years, died February 14, 2011 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Maria (Curvelho) Botelho. He was the loved father of Luiza Guisard, Sergio Botelho and Ricardo Botelho all of New Bedford. He was the loving grandfather of Kevin, Kyle, Elyssa and Ricky Jr.
Mr. Botelho was the son of the late Joao Antonio and Graziela (Medeiros) Botelho. He was born in São Miguel, Açores and has lived here since 1972. He was a Utility Worker who worked for Calvin Clothing until his retirement.
Mr. Botelho’s funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. on Friday at 8 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 5-8 P.M.
