Obituary

Lucille Anna(Vignola)(Joubert)Casey died on Tuesday February 15, 2011 at Sutton Hill Nursing Center, North Andover. Lucille was born on January 29, 1925 at home in Hudson, NH. She was the daughter of Joseph and Elmira Vignola. Lucille was educated in Methuen schools and attended Essex Agricultural School and became a hairdresser.



She was the widow of Joseph Joubert who she married in 1944. After his death, Lucille was married again to Edward F. Casey of Salem, NH in 1980.



Lucille was predeceased by her six siblings Rudolph, Arthur, Paul, Henry, Jeannette Constant, and Norman.



Lucille is survived by her daughter, Vivian Kane of Andover, granddaughter Kourtney Kane Grimley,of Lawrence, whom she was devoted to and her adored great grandsons Aidan Joseph and Colin James Grimley of Lawrence . Lucille is also survived by her nieces Jody Ann Vignola of Alaska, Peggy Hodgdon of Billerica and Patricia Smith of Florida, best friends Shirley Nicolosi of Florida and Beatrice Divoll of Methuen.



Lucille worked at Lawrence Maid Footwear for many years, was a hairdresser and worked at The Taylor Shop of Lawrence.



Lucille was an avid seamstress . Sewing, knitting and designing beautiful skating Costumes and pageant gowns. In Florida, Lucille was a member of the Merry Makers Sunshine Band and a Volunteer for the Reliefs Fire Department. Lucille will be greatly missed by her family.



A special thank you to the second floor medical staff of Sutton Hill Nursing Home for their patient and loving care, especially in her passing.



Calling hours will be on Friday February 18, 2011 from 4 to 8 pm at The Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen. A Funeral Mass will be on Saturday February 19th at 11:00am in St Patricks Church, Lawrence.
