Margery E. (MacLellen) Batcheller, a lifelong resident of the Shawsheen section of Andover and beloved wife of the late Harold B. Batcheller, died at the Lawrence General Hospital on Sunday, February 13, 2011. She was 80 years old.
Born in Andover on March 22, 1930, Margery was the daughter of the late Peter J. and Bertha J. (MacLean) MacLellen. She had been a longtime member of the Christ Church in Andover and was retired from Andover Bank, following 45 years of service.
Margery will be sorely missed by her niece; Susan and her husband Jeffrey Pettit and nephew; Brooks and his wife Luanne MacDonald, all of Kennebunk, Maine.
Her Funeral Service was celebrated in the Christ Church, 25 Central Street, Andover, Friday, February, 18, 2011, at 1 PM. Many relatives and friends respectfully attended. At the request of Margery's family, calling hours were omitted. Donations in Margery's memory may be made to the Christ Church, 25 Central Street, Andover, MA 01810. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home of Andover.
