Obituary

Carol Anne Camden, 50, died unexpectedly Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011 at her home in Londonderry, NH following heart failure. Carol was born in Pontiac, MI on July 26, 1960, daughter of John T. and Jean (Beam) Camden. She grew up in Utica and Romeo, MI and Watkins Glen, NY. She graduated from Raymond Central High School, Raymond, NE. She attended Stephens College, Columbus, MO; received a BA from Keene State College, Keene, NH; received her MA from Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, OH and Université Laval, Quebec, Canada; and her ABD PhD from University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Lafayette, LA. Ms. Camden was employed as a French teacher at Londonderry High School, Londonderry, NH and previously at Hinsdale Central High School, Hinsdale, NH; Salem High School, Salem, NH and Conant High School, Jaffrey, NH.
An avid horsewoman and animal lover, she was a current advisor and former coach to the Londonderry High School Equestrian Team. She was a member of the New England Dressage Association and the US Dressage Federation.
She is survived by her parents, John Trefts Camden of Pflugerville, TX and Jean (Beam) Camden of Fitzwilliam, NH; her sisters, Marge Badois of Londonderry, and Marcia Camden of Fitzwilliam, two nieces, Rebecca and Lindsey Badois and by her beloved horse, Jaguar.
Following cremation, calling hours were held on Friday February 18 from 3 - 5pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A memorial service followed at 5:00pm in the funeral home, and was led by Rev. Lynda Tolton of the Fitzwilliam Community Church where Ms. Camden was a member.
