SPENCER;Edward J. Bellefeuille 87 of 28 Sherman Grove died Tuesday Jan. 6 at St. Vincent Hospital after a short illness. He leaves his wife of 66 years, Cecile M. (Nobert) Bellefeuille, a son Edward P. Bellefeuille, a grandson he raised, David Bulak and a daughter Cecile I. Bulak all of Spencer. Eight grand, sixteen great grand and two great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He also leaves Pauline Tetreault who has lived with them for many years. Born in Lowell, he was the son of Euchariste and Florence (Girard) Bellefeuille and lived here since 1955. Originally a shoeworker, he became well known around town when he and his wife owned a "Mr. Softee" ice-cream truck. He also owned Cecile's Diner and was head custodian for the Spencer School System, where he worked for 18 years, retiring in 1981 at which time he directed traffic in front of the school. Later, he also was the Spencer Elder Bus driver for several years. He was a member of St. Mary's Church and a Lifetime member of the Spencer Fish & Game Club. He enjoyed his yard, his flowers, and walking his dog Pixie on the beach in Florida where he and his wife spent many of their winters. The funeral will be held Friday Jan. 9 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 11a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 60 Maple St.,Spencer. A calling hour will be held Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Following cremation scattering of the ashes will be held at the convenience of the family in Florida. Please omit flowers.
